Called Thunder T11, it can reach 10 Gbps and has a capacity of 120 GB

I'd be all excited about the new Thunder T11 flash drive from Silicon Power, if it actually supported the Thunderbolt 2.0 interface. Alas, it's only your average, run-off-the-mill TB SSD, which means it's limited to 10 Gbps throughput.

Then again, that's already twice as good as USB 3.0, although the newer USB 3.0 specification reaches 10 Gbps too.

Anyway, I'm a bit sad that TB 2.0 isn't supported because it can go twice as fast as that, which isn't a small matter.

The newcomer has a capacity of 120 GB. A metallic silver-colored frame (aluminum case), various environmental friendliness certifications (CE, FCC, BSMI, Green Dot, RoHS, WEEE) and a 3-year warranty.

Both PCs and, of course, Apple Mac systems are supported. Although the former might not necessarily have TB ports, so be careful what motherboard you own.

Only the price is still unknown. Alas.
