Acclaimed French development studio Gameloft has released a brand new first-person shooter for iOS platforms putting players in the shoes of an elite soldier attempting to save the world’s leaders following a nuclear disaster.

In what promises to be a visually-crippling experience on iOS devices, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour has you rescuing the world’s leaders from a terrorist group. You’re not alone, as your brothers in arms are there to assist you as well, from Antarctica to Barcelona.

This is the first Gameloft title powered by the Havok Engine for ragdoll effects and super realistic vehicles, according to the French studio.

System requirements include everything from iPhone 4 and up, including iOS 4.3. Four-inch screens are natively supported, and so is the iPad mini. The game sells for $6.99 in the States and €5.99 throughout Europe.
