Although the ExoPC Windows 7 tablet hit Microsoft's Store only a couple of days ago, it seems than an intrepid hacker known as Mr.Wilson has already had the time to fiddle with the 11.6-inch slate, managing to get it to run the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS from Google in a fairly OK manner (although support for certain features is still rather limited).

So, within a post on the ExoPC forums, Mr.Wilson demoed (video included) the ExoPC running the Android 2.2 operating system, complete with touchscreen functionality (albeit there are still some serious calibration issues to be taken care of) and WiFi working within the Google OS.

Unfortunately, the hacker (whose reflection is pretty visible throughout the video, due to the ExoPC's fairly reflective display) doesn't provide much info on the process of creating the dual-boot application, but does mention that this is still some early work, with more advanced dual-boot solutions being slated to arrive in the future (with Windows Phone 7 also being tossed around as a possible OS to be implemented on the ExoPC).

Those of you who're not quite familiar with the Ciara VIBE ExoPC tablet should know that the device comes equipped with an 11.6-inch HD LCD BrightView touchscreen with fingerprint-resistant coating (1366 x 768), accompanied by an Intel Atom Pineview-M N450 1.66 GHz, L2 cache 512 KB and 2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz memory.

Furthermore, the tablet sports an 64 GB SSD P4 unit, while video is handled by the included Intel GMA 3150 with shared graphics memory.

The portable computing system also comes equipped with 2 built-in 1.5-watt speakers, Realtek High Definition Audio, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam (fixed focus), a built-in Li-Ion battery that lasts for around 4 hours, a wireless 802.11b/g/n module and Bluetooth.

Pricing for the tablet has been set in the vicinity of 700 US dollars, so you should actually be quite careful before trying to hack it yourselves, since bricking such an expensive device is not exactly the type of thing you'd want.
