Like so many other makers of electronic products, ExoPC announced, some time ago, its intention to enter the tablet market, and while it was forced to delay its slate repeatedly, it seems that an actual shipping schedule has finally been laid out.

The company apparently posted, on its forum, the exact dates on which the tablets are supposed to start going out into the world.

First off, on September 3, 1,200 forum members will be able to set pre-orders, which will be shipped on September 30.

September 30 is also the date when ExoPC will begin to accept orders from developers.

In the meantime, on September 20 to be exact, the first 120 production units will be supplied to potential distribution partners.

October 15 is the truly interesting date, however, as that is when the manufacturer expects its first rebadged partner slate to become available in Canada.

Said tablet will be called Ciara Vibe and will also be “available from the US (online only) until an US partner starts shipping.”

For those interested in a reminder, the ExoPC tablet is a media slate with a screen of 11.6 inches and a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.

The CPU used is the Atom N450 and is paired with 2GB of DDR2 RAM, the GMA 3150 integrated graphics and, most importantly, the Broadcom Crystal HD.

Other specifications include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, USB 2.0, a mini HDMI port, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and an SD/SDHC card reader that can read card of up to 32GB.

All these components, plus a battery that lasts for up to 5 hours, are packed inside a case measuring 295 x 195 x 14.0 mm and weighing 950 grams.

Basically, this invention has almost full PC functionality and can play Full HD videos on the go with no problems. Unfortunately, pricing details are still not clear.
