America's native music genre fostered under the umbrella of JVC Jazz Festival will finds its way as a lineup onto MSN Video. Microsoft has announced in a press release a marriage between MSN
Video and the JVC Jazz Festival - Newport R.I., a collaboration that will materialize in an online presentation of the musical events debuting Sunday, Aug. 13. Jazz aficionados and MSN users will enjoy the possibility to view the sights and sounds of the JVC Jazz Festival from what Microsoft calls the best seats in the house. Arturo Sandoval, Savion Glover, Angelique Kidjo, The Bad Plus, The Robert Glasper Trio, Dr. John & The Lower 911, The McCoy Tyner Septet and The Dave Brubeck Quartet are some of the artists that will be available online in an array of jazz related content.

"The JVC Jazz Festival is one of the most renowned events in the jazz community, bringing together some of the best and brightest artists with true fans," said Rob Bennett, general manager of Entertainment and Video Services for MSN. "We're thrilled to bring this incredible lineup of performances to millions of MSN Video viewers."

"The goal of the JVC Jazz Festival has always been to provide the public with access to the numerous genres of jazz," said Artistic Director Dan Melnick of Festival Productions Inc. "The availability of this year's performances on MSN Video extends the festival's reach and provides a larger platform upon which musicians can display their talents."
