RUMOURS ABOUT MOBILE PHONES

Exclusive Info About LG KF750 Plus Details on LG KF240

- KF750 is the future high-end LG phone

By: Florin Troaca, Communications News Editor

LG, the South Korean producer, showcased no less than 12 new phones at this year's Mobile World Congress (11 – 14 February), and many mobile fans thought those are all the new
LG handsets we get to see in the first half of 2008. Well, that's not true, since an image and details about LG KF750 recently surfaced, plus some info about LG KF240. Both devices were unannounced until now and apparently they're from a new LG series of fashion orientated handsets, the KF-series.

An LG KF750 appeared these days on a Romanian website, sold unlocked for 399 Euro ($590). In the post made to present the phone, the seller says that LG KF750 packs a 320 x 240 pixels touchscreen display made from "unscratchable" sapphire crystal, a navigation touchpad, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording, secondary video call camera, 160 MB of internal memory and microSD card support. Although the picture showing the phone is a poor-quality one, it's clear that LG KF750 is very slim, and it will probably be among the best-looking phones to appear this year.

An interesting aspect: the phone's seller says that on its back case there's a "Not for sale" inscription. And now we get to the exclusive info about KF750: the model is a prototype version, made only for tests via Orange's network (I know, the image shows the phone working on Vodafone – that's because it's unlocked, so anyone can put any SIM card into it). Furthermore, the phone lacks a "camera button", but the camera can still be accessed and used via the handset's navigation key. Not cool, I say. However, since this is a prototype, we assume the official LG KF750 will have all it needs to be an awesome phone.

Besides KF750, LG will also bring LG KF240, a mid to low-end fashionable music device that packs a 2 Megapixel camera. The handset will become available soon in Latin America, Asia and Europe. There are also rumors about an LG KF300 phone that will also appear this year, but there's no info about it for the moment.

LG will most probably showcase KF750, KF300 and KF240 at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany (4 – 9 March 2008). Softpedia will be there to bring you tons of pictures and details, so stick around.
