In ten days, a new flavor of the popular Angry Birds game will be available for download on devices running under Google’s Android operating system. Called Angry Birds Space, the new game release will be launched on Samsung’s Galaxy Note smartphone, as advertised for the past several weeks, though it will arrive on other devices as well.

Rovio, the game publisher behind this highly addictive title, has partnered with Samsung for the launch, and with others – such as NASA – for advertising the release.

Apparently, the partnership with Samsung stretches a bit further than the simple release of Angry Birds Space on Galaxy Note on March 22nd.

There will be free content available exclusively on the Galaxy Note in the form of a new level in the game. Owners of other Android phones from Samsung will also receive it.

Additionally, all owners of Samsung Galaxy devices are to receive a “Danger Zone” 30-level pack for free. The owners of non-Galaxy devices will have to purchase this pack to enjoy it.

The upcoming game release will also include a new bird. Called “Lazer Bird,” it should “reflect the personality” of Galaxy Note.

Samsung and Rovio announced the upcoming game at the SXSW expo in Austin, Texas, and those who were present at the event also had the chance to give it a try.

When released, the game will be put up for download both via the Google Play Store and through Samsung Apps, the handset vendor’s own mobile application store.

All that remains to be seen at the moment is what other goodies is the new game flavor set to deliver to Android users.
