There is a new contest available on YouTube that allows all basketball fans to win the best seats as well as free food and drinks (valued at $200) for the NCAA Championship basketball game that is one of the most attractive events in this period. All you need to do is upload you personal slam dunk on the video contest page hosted by YouTube and let other members of the service view the clip and vote it. The uploader placed on the first position for every contest area will win the tickets for the basketball game scheduled for April 2.

The contest areas include Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; Washington D.C.; Raleigh/Durham, NC; Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI.

"Show us your best dunk video for a chance to win VIP treatment at your local Champps restaurant during the NCAA Championship basketball game. If your dunk is chosen, you and three friends can kick back at Champps with free food, free drinks and the best seat in the house on the evening of April 2nd. Creativity counts! Use props, get a group involved, and show us what you got!" YouTube mentioned in the description of the new contest.

Some time ago, YouTube made the first step into the sports and the basketball area by announcing an interesting partnership with NBA (National Basketball Association) to provide sports content on a separate page hosted by the video service. At that time, the partnership with NBA was regarded as a chance to revive the service because it was reported just after the Viacom removal. As you surely know, Viacom, the owner of Comedy Central and MTV, ordered the video service to remove almost 100.000 clips from the page because the search giant receives praises for the content offered by other publishers without paying for it.
