Excite Truck Unlockables, Hints and Glitches (Wii)
Get an "S" rank on three races with the same truck to unlock its alternate paint color

In the grand racing tradition of Excitebike, get ready for a big-air experience like no other as players rocket their trucks across dynamically changing terrain. Remember tilting your arms while playing Excitebike to try to make your character land a huge jump? Well, that experience is finally a reality with Excite Truck, a wild, off-road race only possible on Nintendo's Wii console.
Players hold the Wii Remote like an NES controller to control the truck. The 2 button is the accelerator, the 1 button is the brake, the Control Pad is the turbo … but that's just the beginning. Tilt the Wii Remote right and left like a steering wheel to steer. Once the truck goes airborne, tilt the Wii Remote every which way to line up perfect landings for turbo boosts.
Pick up items on the courses to make the terrain deform in real time, turning innocent bumps into massive launch pads that affect not only the player's route, but that of his or her rivals. Players jump and bump their way to the highest score and highest finish.
Unlockables
Alternate paint Get an "S" rank on three races with
the same truck to unlock its alternate paint color. Alternately, win ten races with a single truck to unoock its alternate paint color.
Mirror Race mode Get an "S" on all Super Excite Race mode tracks.
Monster Truck Unlock the alternate paint schemes for all trucks.
The Crazy Super Truck Get an "S" rank on all races in mirror mode to unlock "The Crazy Super Truck". It is the same as the Super Truck, but has power permanently through the entire race. Therefore you will not overheat and can always race with the turbo.
Crystal Road track Unlock Super Excite Mode then get passing ranks in every race in the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Cups to unlock the Diamond Cup with the Crystal Road track.
Silver Cup Complete the Bronze Cup.
Gold Cup Complete the Silver Cup.
Platinum Cup Complete the Gold Cup.
Bonus trucks Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding truck. Note: The total number of stars you currently have is not tracked by the game and must be manually recorded.
Alpine: Get 2,500 Stars. Blaster: Get 1,000 Stars after unlocking Mongoose in Super Excite mode. Dominator: Get 5,000 Stars. Dynamo: Get 8,000 Stars before unlocking Super Excite mode or earn 500 more Stars after unlocking Super Excite mode. Kodiac: Get 1,000 Stars after unlocking Trekker in Super Excite mode. Mako: Get 1,000 Stars after unlocking Blaster in Super Excite mode. Mongoose: Get 1,000 Stars after unlocking Dynamo in Super Excite mode. Rad: Get 6,000 Stars. Raven: Get 3500 Stars. Razor: Get 7,000 Stars. Saguaro: Get 2,000 Stars after unlocking Kodiac in Super Excite mode. Serpent: Get 1500 Stars. Summit: Get 750 Stars. Trekker: Get 1,000 Stars after unlocking Mako in Super Excite mode. Wasp: Get 3,000 Stars after unlocking Wolverine in Super Excite mode. Wolverine: Get 2,000 Stars after unlocking Saguaro in Super Excite mode.
Gameplay Hints
Jumps When hitting any type of hill or ramp, tap Turbo(2) (D-pad) in any direction to get the "Extra Turbo Boost". This is helpful for reaching the rings when jumping and to help recover the top spot during the race. It can be used repeatedly, and is helpful when you are about to overheat. You can cover extremely large gaps in the race even when there is not a cliff below you.
Cool down engine When you use your turbo and you engine starts to overheat, drive in water or a puddle to cool it down.
Easy Super Truck Smash When you start a race, use turbo to smash the truck next to you. This may require a few attempts.
Glitches
Fly into the air On the Scotland Highland Moors level in multi-player mode, drive backwards and continue until you see the castle bridge. Go under it until you see the "!" icon which activates a certain part of the level. This will trigger the bridge of the castle to fall down. Once it has fallen, go back to the bridge and drive under and into one of the sides of the bridge. If hit in the correct place, you should be launched very high into the air. NOTE: This may cause the game to freeze.
