This is why your mother always told you not to get involved with people at work. Even if your work is not at an office where you have to run into your ex every single day, actors too get awkward when they break up from their co-star and the script requires them to still act like they're in love.

The Sun reports that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, the two actors who have called it quits over the summer, are required to still act intimate in a series of hot scenes they have to finish for the movie “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

The scenes were written when the two were still a couple

“Earlier this year that seemed like a great idea, but now they’ve split and it’s too late to rewrite the script,” said one insider which pointed out to the uncomfortable nature of the situation for everyone involved. “They are very professional of course, and will make it work,” adds the insider.

Don't feel too bad for them though because it was reported that the two actors said goodbye to one another on friendly terms, so there shouldn't be such a problem for them to pretend to make out in front of the camera.

The details of the particular scenes have not been revealed, as the script of the latest “X-Men” movie are being kept secret from the media. That being said, writer and producer Simon Kinberg revealed in a recent interview that Hoult and Lawrence's characters, Beast and Mystique, would get much more exposure in the new movie and that their relationship would be a sub-narrative in the plot.

“I think that the friendship between Erik and Charles, which has always been so integral to the franchise is something we’re continuing to explore and hopefully deepen with Apocalypse,” he told Collider.

It's also going to be awkward for the actors' current partners since they have both moved on

Fans are going to be eager to see how their on-screen romance is going to evolve, now that their real-life romance has ended. It's also going to be interesting to watch the reactions of their new partners, since both Lawrence and Hoult have found other people in their love lives (Lawrence has become involved with singer Chris Martin from Coldplay, while Hoult is believed to be in a relationship with Kristen Stewart).

Meanwhile, Hoult has recently opened up about Jennifer's embarrassing intimate leak and he spoke vehemently against the hackers behind the attack, calling it a “crime.” “It's shocking that things like that happen in the world. It's a shame.”
