Steve Perry, known to music fans as the former frontman of Journey, has revealed he’s been diagnosed with skin cancer. He’s already had surgery and believes he is now cancer-free.

If you’re younger than 25, the video above will offer you a taste of Journey and the late ‘80s music.

In a recent post on his personal blog, Perry talks about the love of his life, Kellie Nash, who died last December after the cancer she developed in her breast spread to her brain.

After the heartbreaking story, he delivers the news about his own diagnosis.

“Three weeks ago a routine mole was taken off my face and the lab report came back Melanoma skin cancer,” he says.

“I've had two surgeries in two weeks to remove all the cancer cells and I've been told they think they got it all and no other treatments are required,” Perry adds.
