Developer Turtle Rock, the original creator of Left 4 Dead, and publisher Take Two announce that they are working on a new video game called Evolve, which is set to launch on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One in the fall of this year.

The title has been in development for more than two years and is designed to offer a complex multiplayer experience with a variety of modes.

The core experience is a five-man match in which one player controls a huge monster of alien origins, which grows as the battle continues and gains new abilities, facing off against a team of human hunters who have access to their own arsenal and abilities.

Evolve is designed to give equal chances to both sides and only solid coordination between the hunters can ensure that they take out the evolving monster, according to Gamasutra.

Turtle Rock has created the initial Left 4 Dead, but has since then severed relations with Valve and was at one point part of THQ, which means that it certainly has the pedigree to make the new title a success.
