Evolve, the new first-person shooter from Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games, has just gone gold, and in honor of this achievement, the two companies have rolled out the game's opening cinematic sequence, while confirming the period in which the open beta is exclusive to Xbox One owners.

Evolve is among the first all-new intellectual properties set to debut this year, and the ambitious multiplayer shooter from Turtle Rock has already gotten a lot of people excited about it. Promising to deliver a great cooperative experience for those who play as hunters, not to mention a competitive one for those who play as the monster, the title is shaping up to be quite impressive.

The game has gone gold and has a fresh video

Now, with just a month left until launch, Turtle Rock confirms on its website that Evolve has officially gone gold, after receiving approval from Sony and Microsoft. As such, the game is now in a final state and will be sent to manufacturers to be pressed onto discs and then shipped to stores worldwide.

Besides giving gamers this great news, the studio has also brought forth the game's opening cinematic sequence, which you can admire below. Just like the actual game, the footage depicts an intense battle between four hunters and one monster on the savage world of the planet Shear.

Evolve's developers are now shifting their attention towards the upcoming open beta stage, not to mention on the downloadable content promised for fans all over the world, such as the fourth monster that will be free to all those who pre-ordered the title across its different platforms.

"We’ll have a lot more to share with you soon about all the additional content coming down the road, but for now all of Turtle Rock Studios (and the folks at 2K) want to say, Thank you! Really. We can’t thank you all enough for your support as we’ve worked on this game. All the conversations we’ve been having here, on Twitter and Facebook – to name a few places – have kept us going. Now, we’re excited to get Evolve into your hands so that you can tell us what you think," the studio says.

New Evolve test stages are coming next week

Don't forget that new Evolve test stages are coming next week. On the Xbox One, there will be an open beta that takes place between January 15 and 19. The special Evacuation mode will be unlocked on January 17, so you might want to check it out during that time.

On the PC and PS4, closed testing stages will be organized starting January 16, for Steam users, and January 17, for PlayStation 4 owners. Those who got invited to last year's alpha test will receive fresh invitations to the new stages.

Evolve officially launches around the world on February 10 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
