Fans of the upcoming Evolve first-person shooter can pick from four options the name of the fourth monster that will be added via downloadable content to the upcoming game after its launch.

Evolve is one of the most anticipated all-new intellectual properties set to debut in early 2015, as quite a lot of people are interested in the clever blend of competitive and cooperative multiplayer that's devised by the team at Turtle Rock Studios.

While the title is set to include as standard three monsters and a wide array of hunters, the studio has already confirmed that a special add-on is set to debut after the game's actual launch that brings forth a fourth monster as well as a few other goodies.

Fans can help name the next monster

While Evolve confirms on the official website that it's still in the prototype phase when it comes to the new creature, it wants to bring fans into the design process in one very specific way. As part of a new survey, people can vote on what name the new monster should have.

"In the next few weeks as the Turtle Rock crew finish the game, they will turn to working on the fourth Monster in earnest. That’s right, that fourth Monster we keep mysteriously alluding to – the one you get for free when pre-ordering Evolve – is still under development. ...and, well, we want you to help select a name. We’ve narrowed it down to a few that we feel best reflects what this Monster is all about," the studio explains.

Turtle Rock has already narrowed it down to four choices, in the form of Juggernaut, Titan, Colossus, and Behemoth. Players can vote for their favorite by using this survey, and right now, the Behemoth option is the most popular, followed closely by Colossus.

The new creature is going to be really big

While Turtle Rock is keeping the new character under a tight shroud of secrecy, the studio confirms that it has a good idea of how the monster is going to look and what abilities it will use. However, right now, nothing is fully playable.

You can get an idea of its size by checking out the graph seen above, which compares it to the main monster of the game, Goliath, and one of the human hunters.

Expect to learn more about the different characters and creatures in Evolve in the following months, as we get closer to the game's release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 10, worldwide.
