“Evil Dead” Gets Second, Brand New Red Band Trailer

Yet another red band trailer for the 2013 remake of “Evil Dead” has emerged online. If you’re feeling up to it, you can see it in full and in HD above.

Tackling a remake is always a difficult job because it will always be compared to the original. Having to direct a remake of the horror movie that literally wrote horror history with Sam Raimi at the helm might actually seem impossible.

This new trailer shows promise that Fede Alvarez probably pulled off the impossible.

Much like the original, the preview hints that this new “Evil Dead” is more than just tons of gore and blood even though there is some in nearly every scene, but also about the tension.

Let’s hope that this doesn’t turn out to be one of those cases when the trailer is completely misleading. “Evil Dead” will be out in April.
