Evesham just announced the launch of a new gaming intended series of desktop computers after the company released not so long ago the ''Oxegen'' line of products that are aimed at the same market segment. The new range is called Cosmos and it comes as a higher end option for gamers, as it offers features unavailable in the previous series.

The Cosmos line of products from Evesham is powered by central processing units made by Intel and all the included processors are from the Core 2 Duo family, which means some serious performance boost over alternative solutions, while the graphics department is occupied by discrete graphics solutions powered by Nvidia 8800 Ultra chips that can either be found in single or SLI setups. Thanks to the presence of the Nvidia GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics processing units, all desktop computers from the Cosmos line are able to fully display games compliant with the DirectX 10.0 API specifications.

When it comes to the external appearance, Evesham went for the Cooler Master's gaming chassis that is specifically optimized for Nvidia SLI graphics solutions as it comes with a powerful power supply unit and a smartly designed cooling system. The use of sound absorbing materials helps gamers enjoy a quiet computing environment, while also reducing vibrations.

While Evesham is known for its pretty configurable and customizable computer designs, there are two variants ready for shipment that can also be modified to suit users' needs and desires. One such variant comes with an Intel E6850 Core 2 Duo processing unit that runs at 3GHz and has 4MB of L2 cache memory and uses the 1333Mhz frontside bus, while its graphics is handled by a single GeForce 8800 GTX Ultra card that has 768MB of dedicated video memory. 2GB of Corsair DDR2 random access memory running at 800MHz and EPP compliant assures the computer's capabilities of keeping the pace with the latest games, while the presence of a huge 500GB Serial ATA II hard disk drive that is coupled with two Multi Format Dual Layer 20x DVD writers takes care of all users' storage needs.

The very high end computer gaming system from Evesham is called Cosmos Elite and it comes equipped with an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor QX6850 that runs at 3GHz while using the 1333Mhz frontside bus and it also has a 8MB L2 cache. While the two desktop computer systems are pretty much identical, the Elite model also comes with 4GB random access memory and two 500GB hard disk drives, as well as a Creative 7.1 speaker set and a Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card.

On the operating systems' side, both of these desktop computers are using the Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate OS and they both come with a standard three years warranty, while sporting a price tag that starts at ?1999.00.
