Windows 9 is very likely to bring major improvements in terms of performance and features, but Microsoft might also implement some UI changes that could make the operating system a bit more eye candy.

This Windows 9 concept created by DeviantArt user jukasj imagines the file explorer app that could be part of the upcoming operating system, boasting a completely revamped interface that looks more modern and brings it in line with Windows 8's appearance.

As you can see, the file manager could borrow some design cues from Microsoft apps that are already on the market, but there's no doubt that such an interface would clearly appeal to many users.

However, Redmond is unlikely to use this concept to design a new interface for File Explorer, but it's good to know that consumers would like to see such a feature in a future version of the operating system.

As for Windows 9, people close to the matter claim that it's likely to debut in early 2015, with two preview versions to give developers the chance to try it out before it hits the market in stable form. More information on Windows 9 is expected to be unveiled later this point at Worldwide Partner Conference.
