You might have seen people running around in Everquest II with additional tags after their name, something in the vein of Alice, Slayer of Undead. While the name is quite good appealing in itself and has a certain edge to it, more often than not it does signify you've been playing the game for a while and your merits are worthy of note. The ego battle is never to be taken lightly so here's what you need to do. Certain mobs will give you titles once you kill a certain amount. The list is ever growing and you can check it at any given time by going to the appropriate faction sign post. It's either in North Qeynos, posted on a light post next to the entrance to Antonica, or in West Freeport, near the entrance to the Commonlands.
Mobs that give titles in Everquest II are Elementals, Fairies, Gnolls, Goblins, Orcs, Undead, Vampire, Djinn, Naga, Cyclops and more. Although you might get the requirements for such a title, you must first attain the rank of Master before you will be able to set a title. Don't be drawn back by this since, in time, your status will easily
rise and you'll have those titles in no time. Quests generally involve you killing a good number of creatures for completion. The following suffixes can be attained in the game:
25 kills - Killer
100 kills - Initiate Hunter
250 kills - Accomplished Hunter
500 kills - Master Hunter (displays the title: "Hunter of ")
1,000 kills - Initiate Slayer
2,500 kills - Accomplished Slayer
5,000 kills - Master Slayer (displays the title: "Slayer of ")
10,000 kills - Destroyer (displays the title: "Destroyer of ")
The "of the Shard" title comes from completing the Deception quest line from Lord Nagafen in Solusek's Eye. You get the "Hero of Majdul" title by completing the quest "Court of tears ring of fate". On occasions, game masters have been known to offer titles when it comes to game altering events. There are plenty of unlockable titles, specific to each class, by handing in writs and rising in influence with Everquest II factions. You can go through Warmly, to Friendly and Amiable to get more. They can be found in both Qeynos and Freeport areas.
