Evernote, one of the most popular note-taking services out there, has made available for download a new flavor of its mobile client for Android, aimed at delivering an improved experience to all users.

The new version of the application provides owners of Android devices with far better note creation and editing capabilities than before, while also making the browsing through Business notes easier.

Following the update, users will be able to easily add attachments to their notes, and also to place these files in-line within the note itself.

Moreover, the new app release adds support for more styles, so that users could safely edit notes that have been created on other platforms out there.

“Now, Evernote for Android has expanded its support for styles created in other versions of Evernote,” a post on the company’s blog reads.

“Also, if a given style is unsupported on Android, the app will allow you to edit the content, while maintaining the styling so that it displays correctly when viewed on other platforms.”

One other enhancement included in Evernote is the addition of full keyboard support, which includes a series of special keyboard shortcuts, such as:

Create New Note: Shift + Control/Command + N Bullet: Shift + Control/Command + U Numbered list: Shift + Control/Command + O To-do: Shift + Control/Command + T

For business users, the updated Evernote application for Android brings a new home screen item that allows them to jump straight into their Business notes.

“And, to save time, Evernote Business users can now define a preferred notebook for notes created when they’re in the Evernote Business view,” the aforementioned blog post explains.

At the same time, the new version of the Evernote for Android application comes with various bug fixes packed inside, as well as with performance and reliability improvements.
