An updated iteration of the Evernote for Android application is now available for download for those who entered the software’s beta testing program, bringing along a flatter user interface, in addition to other changes.

According to a recent article on MobileSyrup, the updated app release comes with a toned-down color palette, while also featuring a pop-up action tool.

The new app iteration will provide owners of Android devices with a cleaner look than before, which now features a dynamic, hovering action button.

When pressing the button, users will be provided with a list of options that include Text, Camera, Photos, Reminders, and Audio. Overall, the experience delivered by this change should be far less clutter when compared to what was available before.

Android users will also be able to take advantage of quick access to the side menu bar, while also enjoying a faster overall experience in Evernote, the news site notes.

However, it appears that there still are a series of features that haven’t been included in the software, despite the fact that they are available on other platforms out there.

All in all, Android users who haven’t had the chance to try out the beta version of Evernote should head over to this Google+ group to join the program, and then opt-in to become beta testers in order to take advantage of said features.
