A new mobile application is now available for download for the users of BlackBerry PlayBook devices, namely Evernote, the company behind the software has just announced.

The mobile application was already made available for other tablet PCs out there, and is now up for download for RIM's first such device too.

With the new software, BlackBerry PlayBook users will be able to create, search, view and edit notes regardless their location.

According toEvenote, “everywhere that you would use a tablet, you should also be using Evernote, which is why we’re excited to add a new tablet platform to the Evernote family: the BlackBerry PlayBook.”

“Evernote for BlackBerry PlayBook lets you create, search, view and edit your notes wherever you may be. And, as you’d expect, it’s completely free.”

The new mobile application comes with a two-column interface, which includes a Snippet-filled note list on the left, along with a panel on the right to view the selected note.

The application will offer users the possibility to view a note either through the two-column layout, or in full screen, by hitting the full screen button available near the note's title.

To create a new note, users will simply have to hit the new note button available in the top left of the interface. Editing a note is as simple, requiring users to select it, then to hit the Pencil icon.

“Add a title and body simply by tapping into those regions. If you want to choose a notebook or add some tags, tap on the relevant icons in the top bar of the note,” Evernote explains.

Evernote for the BlackBerry PlayBook also offers users the possibility to easily add files, photos or audio clips to the note, or to take snapshots or record audio clips to have them attached to the note.

The necessary icons for attaching files are available at the top of a note. Users can select multiple images, recordings and other files to have them added as attachments to a single note.
