Evernote has just released its biggest update in months, blessing iOS customers with some premium features, including business card scanning and a cool Presentation Mode with AirPlay support for keynotes.

The first premium feature in Evernote version 7.2.0 is business card scanning, which allows you to use the new camera mode to scan business cards and turn the snapshot into an editable contact note. Pretty handy! You can take things a step forward and connect to LinkedIn and your Address Book.

You can try before you buy by scanning five business cards for free. After that, the feature is one in-app purchase away.

The second premium feature included in this update is Presentation Mode. Available for 14 days completely free of charge (after which you have to buy it), Presentation Mode lets you employ AirPlay or a cable to convey a keynote to a crowd.

The Evernote team explains on its blog:

“Presentation Mode has fundamentally changed how meetings happen at Evernote. There’s an amazing freedom in knowing that you can share your thoughts with the group just by plugging in your Mac and launching Presentation Mode.”

“Now, we’re bringing this feature to your phone and tablet, no laptop required. All you need is a screen set up for AirPlay or a cable for your device. Once you have that, tap on the More dots at bottom of a note, then tap Present.”

Other cool features available in the 7.2.0 update include a new Duplicate option (which makes an instant copy of a note), the ability to refer friends to Evernote and earn rewards (including Premium features), and a new Sync button in the home screen. Download Evernote for iPhone and iPad and enjoy all this handy stuff today.
