After releasing Evernote 5 Beta for Mac, the developers of the popular note-taking application are now advertising Evernote 5 for iOS. iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users are getting a speedier client, the company says.

The update seems to be focused on making your favorite commands more accessible.

“Whether you’re creating a note or browsing to one, everything needs to happen fast,” says Evernote. “If you’re a tagger, then tags must be front-and-center. If you put everything into notebooks, then those need to be quickly accessible.”

The app has been completely redesigned with Views for Notes, Notebooks, Tags, and Places, as well as Quick Note buttons and a Recent Notes list to make multi-tasking easier on the iPad.

Knowing that “everything needs to be one or two taps away,” Evernote will be releasing this update “very soon,” according to the company’s blog announcement.
