As soon as the new Windows Phone Mango operating system will be in users' hands, a nice variety of applications will be available for download via the Windows Phone Marketplace, and the new Evernote 2.0 will be among them. The application was made available for Microsoft's mobile OS only several months ago, yet the development team has already operated as series of enhancements to it.

Some of these improvements will be available for users as soon as the new platform release is loaded on devices, since the Evernote 2.0 app flavor is aimed mainly at phones powered by the new OS version.

“Evernote for Windows Phone 7 lets you capture your ideas, experiences, and inspirations as they happen, wherever you find yourself,” the application's development team notes on the Evernote website.

“Then easily search and find all your notes, even those created using Evernote on your desktop,” they continue.

As stated above, the new application release comes with a series of enhancements into the mix, some of which would include the possibility to pin notes, the introduction of tags, or the availability of map locations.

Moreover, the new application version also comes with searches to the home screen, and will also offer background synchronization. All of these features are being explained in the video embedded at the bottom of this article.

The background synchronization feature is available for notes that have been created on other platforms, and which are being displayed as a counter on the app tile provided that the app was not accessed in the meantime.

As soon as the mobile phone was connected to a wireless network, content and headers will be downloaded.

The new mobile application flavor also enables users to create templates and pin them to the homescreen. Moreover, it will sport better social networking integration, with fast access to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Windows Live.
