Whoopi Goldberg wants to leave The View, tries to get out of her new 4-year contract

In June this year, ABC bosses fired everyone but Whoopi Goldberg from The View, in the hope that this shakeup, which would bring new co-hosts and new producers on board, would help with the declining ratings. Apparently, not even Whoopi is that convinced anymore she wants to be part of the show.

The network has already confirmed that Rosie O’Donnell is coming back as co-host, which probably means that they will have to be very careful about who else they pick for the job because Rosie is famously big-mouthed.

Some might even describe her as a “bully” (former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck certainly has) but that’s entirely a matter of perspective, if you think about it.

Rosie and Whoopi have also had their fair share of clashes but that’s not what’s making the latter regret her initial agreement to stay on the show for another 4 years, but rather the fact that there is always a lot of drama.

“Whoopi regrets roping herself in like that and is trying to figure a way out,” an insider reveals for the National Enquirer. “She wants out to do other projects, and feels network honchos are holding her back. Whoopi is sick of all the drama surrounding The View.”

However, signing for another 4 years could prove a problem because it means she won’t be able to get out of her contract without a very good reason. Just wanting to move on to greener pastures doesn’t count.

Nonetheless, assuming she gets to have it her way, The View is most likely done for or, at least, that’s what fans are saying online. What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.
