Apparently, not even the mighty Samsung succeeded to remain unduplicated. Remember the company's Yp-S5 lovely player? Guess what! The CVAAL-M201 is a portable media player from Chinavision that stole the Samsung features and packed them on its own copycat
series.
The only detail they failed to duplicate is the cool slide-out speaker we got to see starring in the Pussycat Dolls Wait a minute music video, a while ago. However, the CVAAL-M201 player is also known as the Music Lovers Edition Mp4 Player, a rather silly name if you ask me.
As for its capabilities, the replicate player can deal with MPEG-4 file formats, as well as MP3s. It also offers ID3 tags and lyric display. As an extra functionality, the manufacturers have also added the cool e-book functionality. And if you're wondering about the storage capacity it embeds, the player is said to have 2GB of internal memory, fortunately expandable via the integrated miniSD cards slot, which takes cards up to 4GB capacity. Samsung YP-S5's malicious "step brother", the CVAAL-M201, features a generous 2 inch TFT LCD screen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, as well as a 2.0 port compatibility.
The portable media player's audio performances can be easily improved with SRS WOW mode that also includes TruBass, FOCUS and 3D feature. Not to mention the Six Eq settings that come as standard options, as well as a common FM radio with recording options.
Nevertheless, the dimensions are also the ones of the Samsung devices, meaning it measures 95 x 45 x 7 mm. However, it is almost impossible to believe that anyone could take this item from Chinavision for an original Samsung device. The only reason to buy a CVAAL-M201 player would be a much lower price tag. And man...these are some damn ugly earphones...
