Eve Online 2006 Fanfest Details Unveiled

Taking advantage of the experience gained from the other two Eve Online fanfests, Icelandic CCP developers announced today the third reiteration of the event, to take place in Reykjavik, during November 9th - 11th. Moving away from Loftkastalinn, the location previously hosting the events, this year's convention will go out in style at the four stars Nordica Hotel and its conference center.

CCP went as far as striking a special deal with Icelandair, providing roundtrip transportation and accommodation for two days for most of the important departure locations throughout the world. The basic deal is available for $499 and can be further upgraded should one desire to stay at the same hotel where the fanfest takes place. However, the price does not include the $65 entrance fee. Fanfest access passes are sold separately from travel packages, and most importantly, they are to be purchased in advance from the Eve online store.

In addition, Eve Online fans can witness yet one more performance from RoXoR, the surprising developers' band, along with Real X (Live PA) and much more. The schedule is subject to minor changes and further details are expected to be revealed during the following weeks, but here's what CCP announced as of yet:

Thursday 14:00 - 23:00

- Registration (Get your pass, sign up for the roundtables, EVE Championship and EVE CCG)
- Tournament
- Meet'n'greet (Early fanfest arrivals and thirsty devs can only lead to one thing ...)

Friday 12:00 - 23:00

- EVE Championship (This years PVP Championship will be turned up a notch)
- EVE CCG Tournament (Compete for prizes in the newly-released EVE Collectable Card Game)
- Roundtables (Join a group of players and a dev to solve world hunger, for tritanium of course)
- EVE Championship Finals (Championship finals shown on two big screens)
- EVE CCG Tournament Finals (Tournament finals shown on two big screens)
- Lounge Party (Extremely chilled atmosphere and a great chance to talk shop with the devs)

Saturday 11:00 - Late

- Tech Talk (For those interested in what happens behind the scenes)
- Conference (The past, the present and the future: Key note from the CEO, followed by inspirational orations from the leads)
- Panel Discussions (Developers answering questions from the attendees)
- Raffle (Do you feel lucky?)
- Food (The Fan Fest Party)
