“Ant-Man” is shaping up to be the next big superhero movie from Marvel. The film already has a star-studded cast lined up and not even all roles have been assigned yet. The latest casting rumor is aimed at the leading female part.

Variety says that “The Hobbit” actress Evangeline Lilly will most likely be playing Hank Pym's daughter and Scott Lang's love interest. For those of you not familiar with the back story, Hank Pym is the original Ant-Man, who eventually hands down the torch to Scott Lang to replace him as the superhero.

At the moment, there are some roles that have already been cast. The lead role of Ant-Man is going to be played by comedic actor Paul Rudd, the older version is going to be played by Michael Douglas, and another, yet unknown, role will be played by Michael Pena.

The director of the film is Egdar Wright, and it is generally believed that he's going to take the story of the shrinking superhero in a whole new direction, based on the script he co-wrote with Joe Cornish.
