14 DAY TRIAL // The two actors met on the set of the film “The Place Beyond the Pines” and decided that they liked each other enough to start a relationship. Now it is being reported that the duo has called a time out to “re-evaluate” their romance.
This break comes at the sudden realization from both sides that they were inevitably heading towards the altar, something that neither one wanted at the moment. A source close to the couple revealed, “There was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed.”
The same rumors say that actress Eva Medes, 39, is just about ready to take things to the next step and even start a family with “The Notebook” actor, but he's the one putting the brakes on the white wedding and white picket fence plan.
Gosling is only 33 and enjoys remarkable attention from women, being considered one of the hottest actors in Hollywood. Naturally, he's not as keen to get married as Eva.
Continuing the bits of juicy gossip, the insider relates that the couple aren’t exactly Mr. and Mrs. Perfect: “He can be moody, and she's insecure. She sees a text from a mystery number and assumes he's talking to other girls. I wouldn't be surprised if they split for good soon.”
They already took a break from their relationship six months ago, again, in order to re-evaluate their feelings towards each other. If they decide to keep on evaluating, it's very likely there won't be a relationship to evaluate anymore.
Meanwhile, the couple is working together, even if they're not playing together anymore. Next year, Gosling plans to release his directorial effort, “How to Catch a Monster,” which is also featuring Eva Mendes. But “They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part,” says the source.
