Eva Mendes Says NO to Fur, YES to Complete Nudity. Amen!

- PETA surely knows how to make the best of everything

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

The people at PETA must definitely be among the happiest on the planet. I mean, think of all the celebrities they had a chance to work with – and when I say "work" I actually mean see them up close, stark naked. I'm sure it must be interesting to be in close proximity to Pammy's boobies – not
to mention to see Alicia Silverstone emerge naked from a pool, or watch Dita von Teese teach us the "ABC" in her kinky dominatrix style. So, what could possibly be better than the things I just mentioned? Well, how about a naked shot of another lady who is – if you'll pardon my French – hot as all hell, the "Hitch" beauty Eva Mendes.

Eva is one sexy and cool-looking lady, and designers all around the world are looking to dress her when she decides to step out on the red carpet – but one thing is for sure: she'd never wear fur. Eva is the star – and may I say, smoldering hot star – of a new anti-fur ad by peta2, that is tagged "Fur? I'd Rather Go Naked". But Eva's attitude to fur wasn't always so endearing, as she reveals herself in an interview that accompanies her sizzling ad. "I remember having my first premiere in New York City and being so naive that I didn't have a coat with me. My stylist sent me a fur wrap for the evening, and I ignorantly wore it. PETA then wrote me a beautiful letter commenting on my less-than-educated choice. I was so impressed that I vowed to them and myself to never wear real fur on the red carpet or in my life again," she says.

Eva also reveals that no designer has tried yet to pressure her into wearing fur. "A lot of the high-end designers are unfortunately still big on fur, but I simply let them know that I won't wear it on the red carpet or for photo shoots. People are pretty respectful and don't try to pressure me to wear fur—smart for them," Eva playfully reveals. "I don't think you can force people to change their attitudes, but you can help to educate them and lead by example," she comments.

Well, yes, by example – that's a very good idea, I must say. I hope a lot more of the Hollywood hotties out there will see how gorgeous Eva looks in this photo (which I think is not actually as new as we might think, but we'll forgive them this once) and instead of going green with envy, they will decide to show us their assets, too – just for the sake of comparison, of course. In the meantime, enjoy Eva here – and keep your fingers crossed for more of the same.
