14 DAY TRIAL // It happens to the best of them: actress Eva Longoria stepped out for dinner the other night, looking less like her glamorous self than ever. In fact, she looked like she had just buried her face in flour, with two, very visible concealer marks under her eyes.
Other celebrities have been caught on the wrong footing with concealer before, especially when they (or their stylists, more likely) fail to appreciate the power of the camera flashlight in terms of revealing all potentially embarrassing things.
However, until now, Eva has rarely made headlines because of a makeup blunder of this magnitude. Styleist explains it by the heartbreak she must be feeling now that she’s divorcing Tony Parker – and the tears she probably cries when no one’s watching.
“The usually flawless Eva Longoria stepped out for dinner last night with longtime friend and ‘Entourage’ star Kevin Connolly – though the chalky stripe of white concealer under her eyes made it look like the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress had dunked her face in powdered sugar from the dessert tray,” Styleist writes.
It’s not the makeup mishap that’s the worst thing about the paparazzi pictures now making the rounds (one of which you can also see attached to this article), but rather the fact that it’s overshadowing her glam outfit.
“The two dined in Hollywood at Japanese restaurant Katsuya, where Longoria’s unfortunate lack of blending overshadowed the otherwise-chic sheer gray sweater, black leggings and black knee-high stiletto boots the actress chose to highlight her svelte figure,” says the same e-zine.
On the bright side, in all the pictures, Connolly doesn’t seem to notice anything wrong about Eva’s face, which could mean the stripes of concealer were probably only visible when the camera lights flashed.
Either that, or the stylist who put this look together did not know how to blend colors well, which created this stark contrast, Styleist believes.
“Was it a blending job gone wrong, too-dark lighting or a poorly matched powder setting? We’re puzzled,” says the e-zine.
“It’s also possible that girlfriend may have been overzealous in concealing puffiness and circles left over from post-breakup tears. Longoria split from husband Tony Parker just a couple months ago amid suspicions of infidelity,” Styleist ventures another guess.
