Eva Longoria, the star of Desperate Housewives, has denied insulting a cop with a racial slur after being pulled over.
The actress, aged 30, was confronted by a San Antonio police officer for impeding traffic on Christmas Eve. She was with her boyfriend, Tony Parker.
It appears that Eva called the officer "a Mexican bike cop who wants an autograph" and then added something in an inappropriate language.
The actress declared:
It's a shame that one officer conducted himself in such an inappropriate and disorderly manner. I never made any sort of racial slurs, let alone made any comments about the officer being Mexican, as a Mexican myself. She added through her publicist that the police report was
highly inaccurate and she and Parker
respect and love the community and the San Antonio Police Department. The interesting thing is that Parker received two traffic citations, while Longoria was not cited.
Eva Longoria had landing roles on
The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital and co-starred on Beverly Hills 90210.
She also played the role of Isabella on the popular series, The Young and the Restless. After this, she became well known worldwide thanks to Desperate Housewives, where she plays adulteress Gabrielle Solis. She also has a contract with L'Oreal and has been named one of the most beautiful people.
