14 DAY TRIAL // Despite recent rumors linking “Desperate Housewives” stunner Eva Longoria to her ex-boyfriend Eduardo Cruz and even George Clooney, it turns out that she’s actually dating another man. Eva and Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston have just made their red carpet debut.
In showbiz, if two celebrities start dating, they usually opt to keep the romance a secret for as long as possible, but not longer than a couple of months. Then, they make said “debut” at some highly mediated event, posing as a couple and thus confirming rumors that they were together.
Eva and Pepe went down the same route, People magazine reports – and their first public appearance as a couple took place over the weekend, at the Museo Jumex Opening dinner at Case De La Bola in Mexico City, Mexico.
At the same time, tipsters whisper that Pepe is crazy for Eva and that the feeling is mutual. “He's been sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman,” says one such insider.
Another tells People that the first signs of a great romance were there one month ago, when the two stepped out on a date at New York’s famous Serafina restaurant. “A source [revealed] at the time that the Longoria was ‘very happy’ with the budding relationship and that Baston was ‘crazy about her’,” the celebrity mag writes.
Though the fact that Pepe is crazy about her would be enough, it seems that Eva really picked a winner in her new man: the 45-year-old Pepe isn’t just handsome but also very accomplished professionally.
He is a very successful businessman and the President of Televisa, the largest media company in Latin America, which also happens to be the largest Spanish-speaking media conglomerate in the world. With Longoria’s efforts of getting into producing, the association will certainly be advantageous for her from a professional point of view as well, we imagine.
