Now who would ever have imagined Eva Longoria was such a wise woman? I mean, yes, I know she's 31 so all that "young, inexperienced" part of her life is behind her – and also, her "rags to riches" story is quite impressive in itself and doesn't seem to need any more additional proof that Eva is indeed an extraordinary woman – but nevertheless, the wisdom keeps coming. And it really helps to hear Eva talk about herself and her success story – it makes the "Desperate Housewives" actress look a lot more human than I ever managed to imagine that she might be. I won't say that I've become a fan of Eva's, but now I feel I do understand her better. Which means that I no longer think she's an ambitious, shallow woman who's interested in her image and nothing more.
"I love being open and honest" Eva says, "but I have to be aware that what I say is always taken out of context". You have to admit that many celebrities actually have a hard time coming to terms with that particular realization. Eva also talks about her childhood, and about how she spent the early years of her life dealing with the thought that she was ugly. "Of course when you're a kid, you're so sensitive to everything. You cry. They[her sisters] were very pretty, light-skinned, I was very dark, scrawny and the only one in my family with black hair. I hated it" she recounts. It may sound hard to believe, but Eva swears it's true, and if she says so, then maybe today we'll believe her.
"Today I don't think I'm ugly anymore. I think I'm pretty average looking. It wasn't until college that I noticed people paying me more attention and I realized I had the potential to be beautiful - not that I was, but I realized that if I wore make-up or dressed nicely I had the potential" she adds. Well, what can I say – that's a pretty wise remark, and extremely sensible. Not many actresses today would admit most of the times, that their looks are not so much their own as they are the result of exhausting professional make-up sessions. Eva, in fact, is quite straightforward when it comes to admitting things, and she describes herself as outspoken and to the point.
"I spoke about vibrators and Brazilians in an article about women finding their sexuality. I didn't have my first orgasm until I was 26. That was with a vibrator. And yes, I said that every woman should try a Brazilian wax once. The sex they have afterwards will make them keep coming back. Taken out of context it looks as if I'm running around talking about vibrators. But I hate censoring myself and dancing around things" she adds. Well, in that case, I'd say that Tony Parker sounds like the luckiest guy in the world. His wife is an actress, sex kitten, role model... and the list goes on and on. What do you feel – is Eva for real? I do wonder though - how does beating up her husband in public fit into her life philosophy?
