It might seem premature to name the Woman of the Year 2014 when barely a week of it has gone by, but Maxim magazine can surely pull it off. Its number one choice for the title is none other than pint-sized Latino bombshell Eva Longoria.

You might not see Eva all that much on the small screen these days, unless you’re watching reruns of “Desperate Housewives,” but that’s not to say she’s laying low and doing nothing. In fact, it’s because of her smooth career transition from acting to producing that she deserves the title, the mag says.

“She was the [hottest] suburbanite in history on Desperate Housewives, and now she's a big shot producer, a savvy businesswoman, and our 2014 Woman of the Year. Is there anything Eva Longoria can't do? (Hint: The answer is no.),” it writes by means of justification for picking Eva for the title.

As the photo attached to this article, the cover of the January / February 2014 issue of the mag, confirms, being drop-dead gorgeous must have also helped Eva a bit.

The other pics in the editorial are just as stunning but, for the time being, that’s all we have available from the upcoming issue.

The photos come with very short quotes from Eva on how the definition of beautiful is constantly changing, how she was a band geek back in school and how she appreciates best “dark, edgy” humor.

This is probably one of the many qualities of Eva’s new man, Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston, whom she’s been seeing since late 2013, going public with the romance in November.

Baston is also a huge media mogul, and the President of Televisa, which is the largest media company in Latin America and the largest Spanish-speaking media conglomerate in the world. He is also a very successful businessman and, why not be fair to the man, quite a handsome fellow to boot.
