Eva Longoria flashed a lot of leg for an appearance on David Letterman to promote her cooking book. Dressed in the tiniest of tuxedoes ever, the actress sizzled – and had a small on-air wardrobe malfunction.

As the video below and PopEater will confirm, Letterman was positively stunned to see Eva in her tiny navy blue tuxedo, which had very short shorts and a jacket with no shirt.

He barely had words to tell her that she looked “tremendous,” a compliment the smiling Eva gladly accepted as she fidgeted in her chair.

“I wore a tuxedo for you,” she told Dave. “I guess you did. Or part of one, where are you going?” the host quipped back.

At one point, as she tried to find a better position in the chair, one of the buttons from Eva’s jacket almost came undone, prompting her to put her hands to her chest in horror as Dave looked on.

“Oh lord, we’re gonna lose our liquor license. I know it,” he said.

“I’m sorry… you didn’t see anything,” Eva laughed back, making sure the button would not come undone again.

Letterman then showed a segment from “The Young and the Restless,” one of the longest-running soap operas in the history of television, in which Eva also made an appearance – complete with a knife of which she says it was bigger than herself.

She also joked that the scene from the series was a lesson in “dramatic acting,” while Letterman added at the end of: “And then she cut her tuxedo pants.”

Eva Longoria, as noted above, is promoting her cook book, called simply “Eva’s Kitchen.” She’s already been getting massive support for it from celebrity friends, most notably good friend Victoria Beckham, who tweeted about it.

At the same time, Eva’s show, the former wonder series “Desperate Housewives,” just recorded its lowest ratings ever, prompting talk in the blogosphere of an imminent cancelation.
