The third time could be a charm for the former “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria, as she just rekindled her romance with Eduardo Cruz, the younger brother of Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, E! News reports.

The two have been dating on and off since early 2011, having most recently decided to call it off in March 2012, after two separate tries at making it work.

In the time they’ve been apart, Eva dated Ernesto Arguello, who was one of the bachelors she’d gotten to be on her own dating series, Ready for Love. Only a short while ago, they were exchanging “I Love You”s on Twitter.

E! News is now reporting that, over the weekend, Eva and Eduardo went public with the fact that they’re dating again, being spotted on romantic dates at least twice.

They had lunch at the restaurant Serafina in New York on Saturday and then were seen that night grabbing drinks at a place near Times Square, after having dinner at the same restaurant.

On both occasions, they acted like they were more than friends, various eyewitnesses vouch for the celebrity e-zine.

“[They were in] good spirits,” says one such spy. “[They were] all over each other. After a bit, they started holding hands and kissing. Then they began full on making out. They were seated a table out in the open at the front of the restaurant. They didn't seem to care who saw them.”

Later that same day, during the dinner date, Eva and Eduardo acted like they didn’t care if people recognized them and knew they were a couple.

“They were very cute together, holding hands and giving each other little kisses. They were adorable. Eva was in a great mood, huge smile on her face and very kind to the staff,” a second tipster shares for E!.

Eva Longoria was married twice: to “General Hospital” star Tyler Christopher (2002 to 2004) and to Tony Parker (2007 to 2010). Even though neither marriage worked, she often talks in interviews about not losing the hope that she will find the right man for her, with whom she will grow old.
