Eva Herzigova, Naked and Pregnant

Eva Herzigova is definitely one of the hottest supermodels of the past 20 years. Her career began at the tender age of 16, and she went on to conquer the European fashion scene to the point where she was dubbed the "Marilyn of the 1990s". As a member of Thomas Zeumer's Metropolitan Models, she featured in just about everything from the Victoria's Secret catalog to Playboy or Sports Illustrated. Herzigova's reputation as a bold and very talented woman, fluent in five languages and with a huge love for acting and pottery, allowed her career to stretch over a remarkable time span. She was also never too shy to take her clothes off, not even when pregnant with her first child - as we can see from a set of very sensual photos which have just been released and which feature a naked and pregnant Eva exposing her curvy profile to the camera.

The photos were taken sometime last year, when Eva was pregnant with her son George Marsiaj Herzig, who was born in June, in Turin. However, these artsy shots never saw the light of day so far - and it's a pity, since they are just about as artistic and refreshing as pregnant celebrity photos can be. The fact is, we could argue that the public has become somehow blaze as far as this kind of photos are concerned, mainly because lately it has become somewhat of a trend: ever since Britney Spears exposed her pregnant belly to the world, a lot of the famous ladies out there did pretty much the same, in a bid to shock, impress and add a bit more money to their fortunes. However, Eva's spread has a different feel to it, and that becomes obvious not only from the quality of the shots, but also from the model's poses and attitude.

Some of the shots are in black and white and some in color; however, they all seem to radiate the same indefinable sense of grace and freedom. Of course, the references to Eve, the fall from grace and the apple which tempted humans into losing their privileged position in Paradise are pretty much obvious, but the use of light and shadows, the exotic poses struck by Eva and her overall attitude point to something more than just "another celebrity who stripped to fame and fortune".
