The petite Latino bombshell is still shocked about how much attention she receives from the media, claiming that she can't understand how that came to happen. In an interview with 'The Mirror', Longoria explains that her 'crashing in' on Nicole Kidman's wedding was just a big mistake. She claims that she and her 'lover', as she likes to call basketball star Tony Parker, wanted to spend some quality time alone and chose the Tahiti resort because they imagined very few have actually heard of it. But their surprise was huge when they arrived and discovered that the resort was crawling with paparazzi came to take her picture. Being such and outdoorsy person has its disadvantages, Eva says. And that was exactly what happened when she went in the already mentioned holiday and, sometimes, she feels as if she did nothing to deserve so much attention. Although her part as Gabrielle in 'Desperate Housewives' shot her to international fame, Eva claims that she wishes the reporters wouldn't focus on her so much. Apparently, Longoria doesn't cherish so much the limelight and, at one point, she even says that she wishes others would get the same attention as her. 'I feel really bad sometimes if there's a newcomer on the red carpet and I get out of the car, the photographers are all shouting "Eva!". And I'm saying, "No, there's somebody else there. Take her picture". I know how it feels... I used to be that person being ignored on the red carpet, when the photographers would all surround Jennifer Lopez or Johnny Depp!' All of Eva's modesty seems to stem from her unpleasant previous experiences. Because, before landing the 'Desperate Housewives' part and the multi-million dollar contract with Loreal, Eva was just another of those struggling actresses, permanently turned down for the lack of the right connections or simply because of their bad luck. And that made her appreciate even more the moment she is living right now: 'It's been an amazing ride for me, to be totally unknown one minute and then known everywhere next. I consider myself really blessed', she said at the end of the interview.
