Three power supplies show up, all with efficiency of over 80%

Sharkoon's newest power supplies may not have the 80Plus logo stamped all over them but, they do appear to, nonetheless, possess a significant degree of efficiency.

Sharkoon claims that its newest power supply units, dubbed WPM-Series, all have an efficiency of over 80%.

In other words, they will never waste more than $20 of all the power they draw from a power plug.

The power supplies also do not bear any 80Plus rating title, so they aren't quite as efficient as other PSUs can boast of.

Then again, there is a silver lining to this, in the way that non-80Plus power supplies always cost less than the ones who do bear that rating.

That said, the three units, for that is how many of them there are, stick to the 39.49-54.49 Euro range.

Of course, users will need more than just this much information if they are to actually figure out if any of this actually interest them.

The Sharkoon WPM-Series have power outputs of 400W (WPM400), 500W (WPM500) and 600W (WPM600).

In that order, they sell for 39.49 Euro ($55.91), 45.49 Euro ($64.40) and 54.49 Euro ($77.15), respectively.

Furthermore, they all possess a single 12 rail, each, as well as active PFC (power factor correction), a 140mm fan and compliance with the ATX12V v.2.0 standard.

Other specifications include 6 pin and 6+2 pin PCIe connector (for using more than one graphics card in a desktop system) and a relatively silent operation (the fans, apparently, don't make much noise).

European stores should already have them up for sale, or will soon list them, though there is no guarantee that, when and if US stores do the same, the prices will reflect the exchange rates mentioned above.
