The Pine Trail platform from Intel has spawned quite a number of netbooks over the past months, and it seems that one of them, one that has been in existence for some time now, has finally expanded its horizons by going to Europe.

For those interested in a reminder, netbooks are those mobile computers that focus on portability and come with just arguably basic computing functions.

This means that they are suited for little besides document viewing, web browsing and some multimedia playback.

The netbook that has now become available on a new market is the entry-level mobile PC known as Samsung NF210.

This machine was launched back in September and has a configuration built around the Intel Atom N455 central processing unit (CPU).

This CPU has a clock speed of 1.66 GHz and is backed up by 1 GB of RAM, while the necessary video output capabilities are delivered by built-in graphics.

To be more specific, Samsung put in the Intel GMA (graphics media accelerator) 3150 integrated graphics.

Of course, like pretty much every other Pine Trail netbook in existence, this laptop has a liquid crystal display (LCD) with a diagonal length of 10.1 inches.

Furthermore, for storage space, the company threw in a hard disk drive (HDD) with an internal capacity of 250 GB.

Other specifications include the predictable LAN, USB ports, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, for wireless web connection even on the go, a pair of 1.5W speakers, a 4-in-1 card reader and a so-called contoured clamshell enclosure.

Finally, all the internal components are kept operational by a battery that can supposedly last for up to 14 hours on a single charge.

As one would expect, the product is loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter operating system and has a price tag of $379.
