All you Europe dwellers out there listen up! If you have a PSP, you are probably waiting for Metal Solid: Portable Ops to come out. The bad news is that you will have to wait until April to get it. The good news on the other hand is that you will get some extra exclusive content once you purchase a copy of the game.

Some new maps, characters and
missions are on their way to European PSPs, courtesy of Konami and Kojima Productions. The game was already released in Japan and America and it received great review scores and lots of awards. It received two awards from IGN "Best Story on PlayStation Portable in 2006" and "Best Downloadable Content on PlayStation Portable in 2006". GameSpot also awarded this game and they declared it as being the best PlayStation Portable game of 2006.

The game is set in 1970 and follows on the events of Metal gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. You take the role of Snake (Big Boss) and you have to put together the Foxhound elite unit from previous Metal Gear titles. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops also supports multiplayer, using the PSP's Wi-Fi connection. What is interesting in Metal Gear for PSP is that the player's performance in the online mode affects their gameplay in the single-player campaign.

The European version will include, in addition to the new characters, elements and online facets, a new Boss Battle mode, where players are rewarded with new recruitable characters.
