The team at the Paradox Development Studio is about one month away from the launch of its grand-strategy title Europa Universalis IV and it is delivering a new diary that shows off the unique mechanics linked to theocracies.

The states that choose this form of government will be able to get more capable armies, with extra manpower and defensive ability, and will also have better missionaries.

The team also reveals how Europa Universalis IV will handle a new mechanic for fleet basing rights, necessary for trade-focused nations that want to expand their naval dominance.

EU IV is also introducing a new Enforce Peace option, which a country can use to force another one to stop an aggressive war and will be invaluable during multiplayer matches.

The new game will be out on August 13 on the PC.
