Epic strategy game Europa Universalis III taps issues concerning trade, warfare and diplomacy, and allows players to take control of a nation, guiding it through the ages to become a great global empire. As the PC title has unparalleled historical accuracy, Paradox Interactive is giving players even more freedom to rule their nation, with the 1.3 update available today.

First of all, after you see what the update brings, your gaming hours are going to double. Which is a good thing, as long as you don't forget about school, girlfriend(s), sports and Sunday church. So, without further ado...

...update 1.3 features:

- Revised peace logics for improved gameplay and increased frequency of feedback to the players. - Ability to replace dropping players with the AI in Multiplayer. - Improved AI, for even more challenging gameplay. - Expanded historical database, with tons of detail added to the game. - Enhanced interface, with numerous tool tips to explain various actions in detail. - Dozens upon dozens of gameplay tweaks to refine a great game even further.

Keep in mind though, these are just basic features. There's more to this update than meets the eye, so make your choice of the 250 nations that you can lead and start playing at any moment between 1453 and 1789. Europa Universalis III has a map composed of about 1,700 provinces and it is up to you to rule your nation until the dawn of the French and American Revolution. With such a wide range of choices, it's hard to even know where to get started.

"Europa Universalis III offers an endless amount of content and options which allows players to take total control of their gaming destiny", said Johan Andersson, Director of Development. With this expansion, we are entering a completely different historical era which add new dimensions and balance to EU III".

Don't forget about the expansion pack, "Napoleon's Ambition," scheduled for release towards the end of August, available only via the digital distribution portal Gamer's Gate. Have a nice weekend!
