14 DAY TRIAL // This week, Eurocom is refreshing its line of powerful yet portable notebooks, with the addition of the 15.6-inch Shark 3 laptop.
As to be expected from the likes of Eurocom, the device takes advantage of the most recent chip and GPU architecture, by embedding a 4th-gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card.
The Eurocom Shark 3 comes equipped with a 15.6-inch display that boasts full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and those interested in purchasing the device are given a choice between Matte or Glossy displays.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M GPU comes with 2GB DDR5 VRAM, 640 CUDA Cores with a GPU core running up to 1,029MHz+boost.
Under the hood, consumers are being asked to choose from the full line of 4th-generation Intel Core i7 processors with Intel HM87 Express Chipset, including the powerful Intel Core i7-4940MX Processor Extreme with 4 cores and 8 threads running at 3.1GHz (bursting at 4GHz max turbo frequency) with 8MB L3 cache.
Eurocom makes a point by highlighting that the Shark 3 is very lightweight, but don’t expect the device to be the Ultrabook you can carry around anywhere effortlessly. After all, the notebook is equipped with some serious features, so the product weights 5.9 lbs / 2.6 kg.
The Shark 3 offers huge storage capacity by virtue of SATA3 storage that can offer up to 5.5TB, allowing users to store up all their data, including photos, music, games, film, working files and much more.
Eurocom throws in RAID 0 and RAID 1, so file transfers are achieved with advanced speeds. Furthermore, there’s 24GB of memory supported via three memory slots.
The company also claims the laptop’s battery life is great, but doesn't give any specifics. Moving on, customers purchasing the Shark 3 can be sure Eurocom is taking security very seriously.
The Shark 3 is not only powerful and efficient but also visually stunning. Eurocom stresses luxury when talking about the design of the notebook by putting emphasis on the backlit Chiclet-style keyboard with adjustable backlighting.
The laptop also has an instant button which allows the Shark 3’s control center to be accessed immediately, when needed.
So far, Eurocom hasn't made the pricing specifications for the Skark 3 laptop public.
