I don't know about you, but if I were to acquire a notebook, I would probably go for one of the upgradeable ones, such as Eurocom's Scorpius upgradable laptop. Sure, they may be a little more expensive, but at least you don't have to buy a new one every 6 months or so.

The Scorpius is available starting at $2.201 / €1650 and there is a plethora of configurations available, including (according to Notebook Review) a latest AMD Radeon HD 8970M in CrossFireX, due to the two MXM 3.0B slots that it comes equipped with, allowing for SLI and CrossFireX compatibility.

In terms of storage capacity, it can store up to four drives and a maximum of 32GB of DDR3 memory thanks to its four memory slots. Basically, there are configuration levels for each and every one of consumer types.

As far as form factor goes, it isn't the slimmest of laptops but that is understandable, considering its upgradable nature.
