Described as a “highly flexible” AiO with up to 5 TB storage

All-in-One computers often sacrifice performance in favor of compactness, which adds a fair bit to the price even without high-end hardware increasing it. Sometimes, though, performance is just too important to cut corners on.

The Uno 4 all-in-one PC from Eurocom is an example. While not specifically intended for overly strenuous graphics tasks, it possesses more resources than many regular consumer PCs.

That goes for both desktops and laptops by the way. In fact, the AiO not only has above average specs but includes touch support as well.

Perhaps what stands out most is the integrated battery. Not unlike a laptop, the new all-in-one computer can last for several hours when unplugged. Six hours to be specific.

The reason the battery was included

For a consumer system it probably wouldn't have been included, but the Uno 4 Aio from Eurocom is made for government, education, corporate and medical/dental professionals.

That means that odds are high its users will always be working on something important, maybe even something time-sensitive.

So if, say, power suddenly fails for whatever reason, they won't lose their progress, and won't be forced to shut down the PC either if electricity is cut.

And since this is an all-in-one computer, it will be easy enough to relocate as well. Not as much as a laptop, but you will be able to literally take your work home with you. Of course, Eurocom won't take responsibility for any ruined marriages that result from such a course of action.

The specs of the Eurocom Uno 4

The all-in-one computer has hardware centered around an Intel Core i7-4xxx central processing unit (CPU). Most notable is the Intel Core i7-4910MQ, a quad-core of up to 2.9 GHz clock and 8 MB cache, plus an Intel HD iGPU with up to 1.7GB of Dynamic Video Memory.

The chip is backed by as much as 16 GB of DDR3 RAM, while storage is provided by one or two HDDs/SSDs (one 2.5-inch bay and one 3.5-inch bay).

All of that, plus the optical drive, expansion slots and I/O capabilities are packed inside a case of 21.08 x 1.96 x 14.8 inches / 527 x 49 x 370 mm. A VESA mount is built into the base (for walls, desks, medical carts, etc.) Altogether, the UNO 4 weighs 7.5kg / 16.5lbs.

Availability and pricing

The Eurocom Uno 4 all-in-one PC, with its 21.5-inch touchscreen (1920 x 1080 pixels, LED backlit) should be selling soon. The price isn't known, unfortunately.
