14 DAY TRIAL // Eurocom, a company well known for its high performance notebook solutions, has just announced that the company's flagship mobile workstation, the Panther 3.0, is now available with the Nvidia Quadro 5010M professional graphics card.
This is Nvidia's fastest professional GPU to be developed for mobile systems and it sports no less than 384 CUDA cores as well as a 256-bit memory bus that is connected to a massive 4GB of GDDR5 video buffer.
The GPU is running at 384MHz, and the card is compatible with the Open GL 4.1, DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5.0 standards, while also supporting an error correction algorithm for the VRAM.
Furthermore, users also get specialized drivers that feature Autodesk AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Dassault Systemes SolidWorks certification, among others.
Just as it's usually the case with Eurocom's mobile workstation, consumers can fully configure the hardware found in their notebooks and have the option of choosing between a wide range of CPUs.
The most powerful options that are available are the Intel Core i7-990X Extreme and the Xeon X5690 CPUs, both of these featuring six processing cores and HyperThreading support.
The fast Intel chips can be paired together with as much as 24GB of system memory in a tri-channel configuration.
As far as storage is concerned, Eurocom allows its customers to install up to four 2.5-inch physical drives (HDD, SSD or hybrid) for a total of 3.25TB of data capacity, and these can also be configured in one of the four RAID modes available (0/1/5/10).
The rest of the feature list includes HDMI, eSATA, and DVI connectivity, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and a 17.3-inch screen with a glossy finish and 1920x1080 resolution support.
Pricing for the standard version of the Eurocom Panther 3.0, when paired together with an Nvidia Quadro 5010M graphics card, is listed at $4913 USD.
