Well known for their high performance laptops, Eurocom has just updated its product line with the 18.4-inch Leopard 2.0 mobile workstation, that comes equipped with Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors and supports dual GPU setups.

As all of Eurocom's products, the new Leopard is fully configurable. Users have the option of pairing the laptop with as much as 32GB of DDR3 memory and a wide variety of high performance graphics cards, from the likes of AMD or Nvidia.

These range all the way to the powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M and AMD Radeon HD 6990M, which can also be setup in an SLI or CrossFrireX configuration.

Storage is handled by four physical drives (SSD, hybrid or mechanical), that can provide up to 4TB in capacity, and which can also work inside a RAID array (the RAID 0/1/5/10 modes are supported).

The rest of the specs list includes a multi-format card reader, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, Dual Link DVI and HDMI video outputs, a FireWire port, optical audio S/PDIF, and a Gigabit Ethernet port, while Bluetooth connectivity comes as an option.

A DVD or Blu-ray drive can also be installed, while the THX TruStudio Pro certified sound system is included in the standard configuration.

As far as the display is concerned, the Leopard 2.0 is equipped with a 1920x1080 LED backlit panel with a glossy surface that features a built-in light sensor for auto adjusting the display’s brightness to match the ambient light.

“This notebook is the epitome of mobile luxury computing, being the ultimate in mobile computing with not a single performance weakness” explains Mark Bialic, Eurocom president.

The Leopard 2.0 mobile workstation can be ordered as we speak from Eurcom’s Website. Prices start at $1545 US, or 1240 EUR, which will get you a notebook configured with Intel’s Core i7-2670Q processor, 8GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 560M graphics card and 500GB of storage.
