14 DAY TRIAL // Just shortly after NVIDIA unveiled its line of DirectX 11-capable graphics solutions, Eurocom came up and unleashed several laptops that can now be configured with some of the more impressive models, such as the GeForce GTX 460M and GTX 470M, among others.
NVIDIA released seven new GeFroce GTX or GT Series mobile graphics solutions just a short time ago, even saying that multiple PC makers would soon adopt them.
They are all based on the Fermi architecture and support DirectX 11 graphics, in addition to NVIDIA's own technologies (CUDA, PhysX etc.).
Eurocom has apparently become the first supplier of PCs to actually bring out notebooks powered by the GTX 460M and GTX 470M.
For an idea of the discrete GPUs' capabilities, the GTX 460M uses 1.5 GB of GDDR5, has a 192-bit memory bandwidth and a GPU clock speed of 675 MHz.
Having just issued a press release, the company revealed the existence of the EUROCOM Panther 2.0 Mobile Workstation, X8100 Leopard Mobile Workstation, W800CU Cheetah 2.0, W860CU Cougar and D900F Panther.
“The addition of the NVIDIA newest 4xxM family of GeForce GTX 460M and GeForce GTX 470M gives Eurocom customers an even greater choice of GPU’s to power their machines with a graphics card to fit every budget and every performance level,” states the press release.
“Eurocom will be supporting the GTX 460M and GTX 470M in single and Dual (SLI) configurations which will allow customers to intelligently scale graphics performance. NVIDIA SLI technology delivers up to twice the performance with 2 cards, compared to a single graphics solution,” the release adds.
In addition to these video adapters, in multi-GPU SLI configurations or otherwise, Eurocom's laptops can also be configured with the GTX 480 discrete GPUs or other cards.
To be more specific, they can be outfitted with a variety of Quadro FX and even ATI Radeon HD Series (single or CrossFireX HD5870 for instance).
